I’ve long wanted to be a writer, whatever that is.
I mean, sure: a writer is someone who writes. A cliché, but a useful one. It refutes all kinds of excuses. You don’t need equipment. You don’t need a publisher–or even an audience, for that matter. And you don’t need anyone’s permission to get started.
Except, perhaps, your own.
This blog is me giving myself permission to get started, as well as the structure to keep going–to embrace the advice of the inimitable Neil Gaiman: “Write. Finish things. Keep writing.“
